Daniel: “I want to watch Thomas on the TV.”

Me: “No, you don’t wan to watch TV all day, you like to run around.”

Daniel: “And stop. And run again.”

Me: “Yeah, run and stop and run and stop. That’s fun.”

Daniel: “And pushing buttons.”

Me: “You do like pushing buttons.”

Daniel: “And playing pirates. AND TACKLE YOU!” He said as he ran towards me like a steam roller and jumped on me to knock me over.

A real baby

Hannah came out of her room pushing her pink toy pram.

“There’s a real baby in here Mommy. She was born.” Hannah told me.

I stifled my giggles. As usual.

“She’s a little bit sick. I need to go for a walk and take her to the doctor.”

Hannah turned the pram around and went back in her room. Patting her “real” baby and consoling her as she went.

A little bit later, she told me that her baby needed a nappy change. She got out the portable change pad and laid “real” baby on top of it. She got out some rags and wrapped them on her baby like a nappy.

Buy cheap diapers

Daniel crawled over to see what was going on.

“NO DANIEL! That is my baby’s poopy nappy! Don’t crawl on that, you’ll get all poopy!”

Giggle giggle.

“Don’t cry baby. Do you want something to eat?” Hannah asked her sweetly as she carried her baby back into her bedroom.

A bit later, she came back out again. Putting her finger to her lips, and giving me quite a serious look, she said “SSSHHHHH, baby is sleeping!” and then went back into her room. “I have to go and pat her.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheeky little miss

Hannah (holding a crayon): “Mommy, can I colour on the couch?”

Me: “No sweetie, we only colour on paper.”

Hannah: “Can I colour on my leg?”

Me: “No sweetie.”

Hannah: “Can I colour on…(thinks for a bit) my face?”

Me:  “No sweetie.”

Hannah: “But I can use face paint on my face.”

Me: “yeah, but face paint is special paint just for your face.”

Hannah: “Can I colour on my neck?”

Me: “No sweetie, only on paper.”

Hannah: “Only on walls.”

Me: “Only on paper.”

Hannah: “Only on your foot.”

Me: “Only on paper.”

Yeah, she’s super cheeky.  Just like her daddy….

2 weeks

Hannah is very regular.  She poops every day.  Usually.  Mostly.  But she didn’t poop today.

“Where is your poo-poo today?”  I asked her as I changed her nappy.

“In my bottom.”  Fair enough.

“When are you going to do a poo-poo?”

Without hesitation, she told me  “In two weeks.”

“Two weeks? I think if you don’t poo for two weeks, your tummy will be pretty sore.”

“One week.” She said matter-of-factly.

She’s so funny!

There’s poo on it

Aaron took Hannah to an indoor play place the other day.  Hannah loves these play places, as you may remember from this post/video.

She was playing in the ball bit, happily climbing about, tossing balls around, when she came upon a dented ball.

She pulled it out and held it up to Daddy, looking at him all serious-like.  “I need to go wash it.”  She told him.  She was, of course, talking about putting it in the pretend washing machine they had there. “It has poo on it.” She declared.
