Pretty much every single day, as we drive to wherever it is we’re going (because we go somewhere every day. An entire day at home trying to entertain the kids is just insanity), we see the running guy. He runs in the freezing cold, the rain, the sun, anything. He always has his hood on, ear phones in his ears, and his running jacket zipped up. But one thing makes him stand out: his head.
As he runs, running guy turns his head to the left with every stride like he’s rocking out to the beat of his own run. I don’t know how he doesn’t get dizzy.
“Look, there’s running guy,” I said to Hannah this morning. I always point stuff out as we drive – birds, bridges, buses, running guy.
“He must be a daddy.” Hannah told me.
“Why is that?”
“Because Daddy runs, so all boys who run are daddies.”
It may not be totally sound logic, but coming from a 4 year old, I’m still super proud.
